The upkeep of your prosthesis

As stated earlier, it’s easy to keep the breast prosthesis in good shape. It’s important that you clean any oil or grease off your skin with the Preparation Tonic included before you wear the prosthesis. After wearing your prosthesis, clean it with the Soft Cleanser included. That way, the adhesive surface remains intact and you can enjoy your breast prosthesis to the fullest.

All of our maintenance products are dermatologically tested and meet the European standards. If you run out, you can always order the products on our website.

With the purchase of any new prosthesis, you will also receive a booklet with advice on cleaning and maintenance.

 

Below is a step-by-step explanation of how to best take care of your Contact Prosthesis:

1. Apply three drops of Soft Cleanser to the dry adhesive layer and wet the special brush with lukewarm water.

2. Brush the adhesive layer firmly with the special brush for three minutes; use rotating movements and a lot of pressure.

3. Next, rinse the adhesive layer with plenty of lukewarm water.

4. Let the prosthesis air-dry or use a blow-dryer, making sure that it’s not too hot.
